Banvallsleden - from the Baltic to the North Sea .
Cycling along the embankment in beautiful and varied nature on one of the country's longest cycle paths (Halmstad - Ljungby - Alvesta - Tingsryd - Olofström - Karlshamn).
The cycling path goes from the Baltic to the North Sea and the distance is 249.5 km long. It runs mostly on the Vislanda Line's embankment from Karlshamn along several waters, Mörrumsån, Åsnen, Bolmen and Nissan to Halmstad.
The track is mostly without cars and motorcycles. It paves for relaxation, nature and cultural experiences in the old border country between Denmark and Sweden.
If you are lucky you can see the great salmons in Mörrum river and also kingfishers, sea eagles and moose. You cycle through old districts filled with stories about about Blända and her women who defeated the Danes, about the sword of Tirfing and the bearers of Bolmsö.
You travel through technology and industrial history, power plants, ironworks, paper mills, carbon black factories, closed down factories and living industry. Here is industrial history and technology history to experience for example Abu Museum in Svängsta, Ebbamåla Mill, Huseby Mill with guided tours.
It is a real cultural heritage trip, but it is also a fantastic bike ride in a wonderful nature along the water. Experiences at Mörrum river / Åsnen are for example a visit at the Salmon's house, Ebbamåla Mill, Getnö Gård or Huseby Mill at Mörrum river / Åsnen.
